A large woven Cedar bark hat in the traditional style of the Haida peoples.
Cedar bark hats come in a variety of shapes, weaving styles, and material weights and sizes. Pricing varies depending on the style of weave and width of weaving materials.
Cedar weaving is an ancient technology and a tradition learned from ‘NAMGIS and other Kwakwaka’wakw family and friends in Alert Bay and at the U’mista Cultural Centre, from weavers at the Sto:lo Artisan Centre, and most recently from Haida mentors.
